Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about Creating Yourself                         - George Bernard Shaw

Success is subjective. Like many, I grew up equating money and power with success, and for a time, that framed my definition. But as I've matured, that has changed. You see, success is a very personal thing. What drives one entrepreneur may be radically different for another. And understanding how others measure success can help you better understand your own definition.

Billionaire Richard Branson believes success is about happiness.

"Too many people measure how successful they are by how much money they make or the people that they associate with," he wrote on LinkedIn. "In my opinion, true success should be measured by how happy you are."

Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington says that money and power aren't enough.

Huffington says that while we tend to think of success along two metrics — money and power — we need to add a third.

"To live the lives we truly want and deserve, and not just the lives we settle for, we need a Third Metric," she told Forbes' Dan Schawbel, "a third measure of success that goes beyond the two metrics of money and power, and consists of four pillars: well-being, wisdom, wonder, and giving."

The following articles will give you ideas, tips, strategies, and practical advice on how to be successful in what you are looking for.

There was a time when I was a slave to my clients, traveling across the world whenever they wanted me to speak, sometimes working 30 days or more in a row without a break. I hardly ever saw my family. The airport security guards knew me by my first name. The even knew which luggage was mine! As I worked harder and harder, I became more and more unbalanced. I didn't have time to exercise, read a book, go to a movie, or do things I really enjoyed. My refrigerator was bare, because I only had time to come home for a brief stay before I headed back to the airport and onto another trip. Read more...
